aims and intensions

Aims and Intensions 'Watch This Space' is a show detailing and exploring progressive ideology and the elimination of negative stereotypes. Although, my show's goal is to break down ideas probably ingrained in the mind-set of older viewers, the target audience for my documentary will be a millennial audience who are interested in starting questions over perhaps controversial topics, thus the audience would probably be aspiring towards a level of high education which will ultimately result in them having some form of influence in society, therefore the socio-economic group that would probably engage with my programme would be B1. Aims and Intensions

Aims and intensions I am aiming to produce a documentary which fulfils the requirements and asks of the WJEC spectrum. I want my documentary to feel fresh and new from the very beginning in order to communicate a clear message poised on individuality and uniqueness. I am interested in producing a documentary about what it means to be a women and a minority in 21st century Britain, thus I think I will need to incorporate new methods of filming instead of old documentary style to ensure the message of diversity and appreciation of oneself is communicated clearly.  I am also hoping to bring a new tone to documentaries on Channel 5. Generally, Channel 5 produces quite mundane documentaries such a 'Big Week at the Zoo', that in my opinion are actually quite boring, and I can see why Claire Westacott, the commissioning director for factual pieces, is after something that instantly captures a viewers attention and explores ideas that reach out of day to day living.
